about THE PRODUCTIOn

Katie Burks is an American performer and choreographer presently based in London, England, where she is pursuing her MFA in Choreography from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The Aspire Project is a non-profit organization based in St. Johns, Portland that brings the transforming power of dance to the community through providing access to the arts for everybody. Katie’s research surrounding dance perception and accessibility alongside The Aspire Project’s passion for community joined together at Bodyvox Theatre on September 14th, 2019 to create an evening of choreographic works entitled Ways Of Seeing. Proceeds from the production benefited the non-profit, raising approximately $3,000.

Ways of Seeing was made possible via the support of the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation.
